RE:JOICE with ADAM FICEK

RE:JOICE for it’s Friday night and come down to the most dazzlin’ night in town.

RE:JOICE for the weekend is here to be celebrated in true style.

RE:JOICE and let’s celebrate the songs that formed the soundtrack to your youth.

Hosted by The Hoxton Pony’s very own DJ/promoter extraordinaire Ronnie Joice, every Friday night we’ll RE:JOICE it’s the weekend and put on a party that’ll make sure you see very little else of it until Monday morning!

We’ve got all your favourites – each week we present to you a brand new guest DJ from the world of music, TV, film and fashion.

If you like ‘em, we’ll get ‘em!

You learnt the lyrics off by heart, and the dance moves infront of the mirror.. you copied the fashions and most importantly, you always sang along!

Our job is to resurrect those fantastic records that you forgot about so that we can make you fall in love with them, all over again!

ADAM FICEK
Musician, producer and DJ Adam Ficek is most commonly known to the general public for his drumming and songwriting in notorious British rock act Babyshambles. As a member of the band fronted by Pete Doherty, the most talked- and written-about rock star of our time, Adam has seen the best and worst of life at the casualty-laden core of the music industry, but what many people don’t know is he is also a talented multi-instrumentalist who writes and performs beautifully crafted songs under the nom-de-plume of RKC, formerly Roses Kings Castles. Adam's eponymus debut album has sold more than 5,000 copies since its release in September 2008. Since then a continous tour around the UK, Europe and America has seen him picking up many new fans across the globe, combining British guitar music with the weighty sonics of the DJ world to create ‘an aural scuffle between The Buzzcocks and The Beta Band’.

MIKE RHINO
The man responsible for providing the tunes for The Hoxton Pony every week alongside entertaining clubs, warehouses, backstage parties and festivals alongside trips up the country as official tour DJs for the Sharabang label and Strummerville tours in the Summer. Mike has brought his eclectic mash-up party across the UK Festival Circuit with front and backstage shows at T in The Park (Glasgow), Lovebox (London) and London Calling (Amsterdam) as well as playing headline shows everywhere from Liverpool, Coventry and Smash & Grab at Brighton’s Concorde II. Expect to hear a mix-up of 90’s HipHop to 80’s electronica, Ska, Dance Hall & Northern Soul, Rock n Roll to Indie plus classics that take you back to a more innocent, beautiful time before pretence and drudgery took hold!

BLONDE AMBITION
Deanne Oliver-Evans aka Blonde Ambition is a party popper personified! Bringing a carnival feel to every gig she plays...with her excitable gyrations, high energy tunes & funky fresh mixes, her mission statement is to get the party rocking & that she does every time! Deanne not only spins her musical madness every weekend at some of the greatest events London has to offer but co-runs successful party 'Lovesick' thats soon become the talk of the town. With a long list of festival dates under her belt, fashion events & VIP parties worldwide, Deanne is the girl about town everyone wants at their party! A foxy, feisty, flamboyant female, thrashing out all sorts of floor filling, thumping, funky sounds. You should not miss this lady.

We’re gonna resurrect those fantastic records that you forgot about so that we can make you fall in love and with them, all over again!
